Author Profile: Luke C.

Luke grew up chasing coastlines. Raised in Florida with family in Maine, he spent his childhood driving up the East Coast, discovering unsung beach towns, fishing villages, tight-knit rural towns, and roadside diners. After years on the East Coast, Luke made the leap to San Francisco, and suddenly had a new coastline to explore.

When he's not plotting his next trip, Luke works in growth marketing and has spent years writing content for startups—blog posts, tutorials, emails, ads—the works. Luke co-founded Skyweekend back in 2023 after a spell of weekend wanderlust. He holds a Marketing degree from Florida State University and is proud to admit he's read The Elements of Style four times (which makes him very particular about a well-placed em dash).

Luke's favorite destination is Hawaii—yes, the cliche exists for a reason. His most underrated pick is Spokane, WA, a city with jaw-dropping waterfalls running right through its downtown. And at the top of his travel list? Anchorage in the summer, when the days never really end and lush green mountains touch the sun.
